Plugin Installation Manual 6 © 2009 Vi-PEC 2 Pre-Installation Before installing theVi-PEC VX ECU into the vehicle some pre-installation checks must be performed. 2.1 Board Switch Settings Some Vi-PEC VX ECUs require switches on the board to be set before installation. 2.1.1Subaru Impreza WRX V7-9 ECU There is one significant wiring difference between WRX and STI models. Four jumpers are fitted to the ECUs bottom board to allow configuration. Fit the jumpers according to the diagram below. DO NOT fit the jumpers in any combination other than the two shown…. Pre-Installation 7 © 2009 Vi-PEC 2.2.1 Subaru Impreza WRX V1-9 ECU The Subaru V1-9 VX Plug-In ECUs are NOT designed to be used directly with low impedance injectors. All models this ECU is designed for are fitted with high impedance injectors from factory. This ECU has been designed to be used with HIGH impedance (greater than 6 Ohms) injectors. Ballast resistors must be wired if low impedance injectors are to be used. This means that the ECU is plug-in compatible with factory fitted injector combinations on all models, however if fitting low impedance injectors then ballast resistors must be wired. Contact your nearest Vi-PEC dealer to purchase a ballast resistor pack if required.

This document shows a set of pictures I took while installing a 1999 Subaru Power Steering Rack into my 1973 Datsun 240Z. The car had already been converted to a 1995 LT1 with a WC T5 transmission and I had kept the original pump from the donor car (Caprice 9C1) so I used it. The steering has a feel similar to a higher end modern sports car. It’s light but still has reasonable road feel. The Subaru rack I used seems to have a higher ratio than the stock Datsun so the steering is quicker than it was. …
This shows the original rack along side the Subaru rack. 1984 Celica inner tie rod ends are installed along with the Subaru outers that were on the rack when I got it from the wrecking yard. This combination provides plenty of adjustment to align the car…..This is the cross member I used, it’s from a 280Z. I had to cut an opening to clear the valve body of the rack and modify the mounts to accept the different shape. After making the cuts I welded reinforcements to the bottom and top of the member where the cut was made and also reinforced the mount tower as it also had to be clearance….

Download Free 1996 Subaru Impreza WRX Precision Sport Shifter
The B and M Precision Sport Shifter was designed to work on most 1996-2003 Subaru Legacy and Impreza and 1996 and Subaru Impreza WRX model vehicles. It is designed to significantly reduce the projection of the shift and improve the way the action moving. Check the list of parts and tools at the beginning of these instructions supplied parts and tools required to install the network B and M Precision Sport. Installation of this B and M Precision Sport Shifter can be achieved by anyone with the minimum mechanical experience.
STEP 1. Unscrew the knob.
STEP 2. Pick up at the beginning of the console from the rear.
STEP 3. Remove the bolt and nut with moving inventory. Tools: 12 mm Wrench, Ratchet and 12 mm slot.
STEP 4. Delete (4) bolts a metal plate. Tools: Ratchet, extension and 10 mm socket
STEP 5. To remove a metal plate and Cut or bend off front maintains the card. Tools: channel Lock pliers Note: this plate will again rotated 180 °
STEP 6. Elevation and maintenance of the vehicle. Tools: Jack stands (4) and Jack
STEP 7. Delete the foundations of the ring at the bottom of the move. Tools: Retaining Ring pliers
STEP 8. Delete move and rings from the vehicle.
STEP 9. Try to lubricate the ball at the end of the move (B) and (M) Precision grease is supplied, and then reinstall the rings and pivot the holder on the move (B) and (M) ASSEMBLY.
STEP 10. Delete with a lightning bolt securing moving arm, Putting the front rubber wedge grooves. TOOL: Wrench (14 mm) and Flathead screwdriver
Steps 10-13 are optional and may increase the vibration.
STEP 11. Remove the screws securing the rear grooves wedge prorgram Remove wedge grooves and bolts. Tools: 12 mm slot, Ratchet and extension
STEP 12. Install rear B and M bushing, usiing M8 bolts, washers, locking and flat washers. Tools: 6 mm Hex

This how-to is based on my experience in replacing rear wheel bearing on my 2.5RS 2000. I believe that this is one of the more difficult configurations to work with, in view of the e-brake and transverse link bolt holes. Generally this should be very similar to whatever car you have. There are different ways in this way, many people prefer to simply take the entire knuckle and visit a shop, are all down and new things down. Method of falling here do not require a delete with a knuckle.
There are several things you will need to do differently:
-You have to brake and if event e can be taken off block. Update: you need to do this! You need only part of the event e brake.
-You will need to enter for personal use, whereas removing/mounting tool to use instead of a single one (easy to do from around $ 20 worth of materials from the Home Depot). See FAQ for details on how to create and use this tool.
-You will need to install seal, again using rubber mallet. Update: Easier method in this way is to use the remains of the old bearing (inner/outer races around approximately the size of the seal) to the internal seals and bearing removal tool we make on the outer seal.

Free Subaru 2.2 liter Engine Manual
This release of The End of the Wrench is hereby amended as Subaru 2.2 liter naturally aspirated diesel (n/D) and 2.2 liter horizontally opposed engines Turbo overhead cam (OVERHEAD CAMSHAFT). Reviews of the mechanical characteristics of these engines and differences between the existing engines. It also includes the procedures used in the diagnosis and review these engines. List of important notes and warnings, service bulletins and special tools is included at the end of this article. Always refer to the year of the appropriate model Subaru Service Manual and applicable service bulletins for all specifications and detailed maintenance procedures.

Subaru IMPREZA WRX/STI INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIMENTAL
2004 and later WRX/STI's have additional plug-ins sensory connected to a duct intake. When the plug is connected to the factory tube an electrical connection is made, says ECU that PVC flexible hose is attached to the inlet. Hose inlet PERRIN requires skipping the connector. Again this is not "active" sensor. The connector terminates the circuit only. After the inlet hose is installed:
1. remove the grey PVC Diagnostics connector and hose leading to the crankcase ventilation. Crankcase vent is located on a block under the turbo. (see photograph)
2. inside the connector PVC diagnosis find pin jumper and remove it by using the needle nose pliers. This pin is lightly pressed into the electrical connector.
3. find the pipe/plug that was disconnected from the factory inlet hose and place pin jumper, which is removed form the grey connector PVC pipe to female pins/plug-ins. Electrical tape allows you to safely in place.
4. See instructions on the page (3) for the connection and the hose from inlet hose routing PERRIN.

This kit is intended for the Subaru Impreza WRX GDB chassis, engine EJ20/EF25, 2002-2005. Please do not attempt to install this set on other applications.
Installation:
(1) Disconnect shock by hose and remove
blow by the tube off with doladowanego.
(2) disconnect the hose, air bypass valve shall be provided upstream and remove valve.
(3) disconnect the hose outlet turbo and throttle hose and remove doladowanego.
(4) Delete left blow by hose. Cut the rubber hose, provided that 12f up to 650 mm and install it using the supplied three-way fitting to blow right by using the hose as shown.
-To prevent distortion of the throttle, the snake, the snake on the throttle body route and secure the hose to the exhaust manifold zip ties provided.
-Secure the ends of the hose from the links provided that zip.
(5) Install the collar tabs intercooler using provided that the gasket and screws as shown.
Venting to the atmosphere
(1) Install plugins 34 Ø provided that in the air through the hose and hose assembly factory.
(2) install the GReddy Blow Off valve using a provided that the gasket and bolts.
Circulation type
(1) Remove the factory air bypass hose.
-If you delete the character snake page pipe snakes.
(2) Cut the serpent bypass air as shown and reinstall the hose pipe.
(3) Install, provided that the pipes return hose bypass cutting air, as shown.
-Route of return pipe under the doladowanego the left square bracket as shown.
(4) Remove the funnel discharge is excluded from the blow off valve and install valve intercooler using provided that the seal and valve.
-Annex you can easily turn off. Make sure not to damage the ring.
(5) reinstall the doladowanego and connect turbo outside let hose and throttle body hose.
(6) cable connections return blow valve with hose provided 34 Ø silicone.
(7) the vacuum hose to the top of the Again in blow valve and emblem on the top cover.
(1) Inspection of the installation. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery and run the engine.
(2) check and make sure that there is no air of leeks, temporary problems or incorrect sound.
(3) a slightly rev up the engine a couple of times to determine whether works blow off valve

This guide is in no way definitive instructions matching apparatus Event. Has been compiled only as a guide to illustrate the part and were used in order to fit them into my vehicle. It is designed as a reference source only. I hope that you find it useful!
For my new age Impreza Turbo I decided to gauge and measure of oil pressure.
Oil pressure Gauge.
These instruments come from units necessary to the sender. Are the parts required to send the signals are fitted with telemetric recorders measuring gauges for them to view. For example, in relation to the oil pressure gauge, this comes from a sender, oil pressure, which looks like.
This is required to be fitted in the engine block. Some people use a Sandwich that fits between the engine block and the oil filter, however, and have been notified, are susceptible to leaks.
You can replace existing oil pressure switch already installed in a vehicle or you may need to plug alternative opening blank where it can be located.
It was my preferred option and braided hose has been attached to the engine block to hold the sender unit.
The last page of this manual is braided row used and below pictures show their connection to oil pressure sender unit.
Turbo Boost Gauge.
Again this type of gauge come from it to the sender. This sender is required to be fitted at the outlet from the dump valve installed in the factory, located on most Subaru Imprezas near inter-cooler top installation.
The set comes with small plastic 't piece "to allow a new piece of plastic tubing to be fitted to existing rubber hose. To save your edits in this existing rubber hose and making it shorter, if the sender has ever been deleted, I acquired a short excerpt from the same piping. This was so t-piece easily may be installed without changes to the hose factory

KSR206 and KSR207 are set to be fitted to the steering rack, high performance. Whiteline by unique design with carefully selected hardness polyurethane offers improved control control and response while at the same time reducing thump the steering wheel and shudder. Design and dimensions have been completely revised in order to minimise the side with minimal changes to NVH. KSR206 and KSR207 are designed for more subtle high frequency to be even firmer control of the situation.
Both sets are supplied with a special set of tools to remove Bush OE.
Installation Manual:
Please refer to the instructions in the installation complete and verify a set of components prior to the commencement of work. Whiteline recommends that all work is carried out by a qualified technician.
1. Raise the front of the vehicle and support in respect of the safety of means of the chassis.
2. remove any guards chassis and braces for access to the steering rack.
3. Undo, and delete the steering rack Mounting screws and brackets.
4. Undo and remove the bottom of the coupling with a lightning bolt and slide the steering shaft, the steering rack shaft with coupling.
5. remove the Bush on the side of the passenger. This can easily be removed manually.
6. remove the driver on the side of the bushes. Use a set of tools to remove Bush delivered to extract 2 bushes on the driver's side (the pump). Use the fully samogwintujacej extract Bush to Cup. Repeat for the driver of the other side of the Bush.
7. with the bushes all removed for cleaning all surfaces of all dirt and apply grease supplied all surfaces of the fitting and bushes.
8. Install all 4 half-shrubs can be found on the drivers.
9. Push metal pipes to new 2 drivers on the side of the bushes.
10. install the passenger side Bush, with smaller round the shoulder section facing up.
11. Slide the input shaft of the steering rack back to join and tighten the locking screw.
